Child Theme Support

Please follow the links in order. Should you require further support with setting up your child theme, please contact us. Please ensure that your query is child theme specific as we only offer support on your purchased child theme.

To add your text and images, please refer to the Elegant themes website for more information. Please remember to enable the Divi Builder on all pages and posts unless otherwise stated.

Category Set Up:

You can edit the category/archive to a left hand side bar – just enter the category layout in the Divi Library, change the layout column to 1/3rd and 2/3rds and swop the modules around.

The Lifestyle category is shown as a left hand sidebar (to give you an example). If you want your archive pages to be a left hand sidebar, just do as above and update the page.

We have set the categories to the ones as shown on the demo:

  •  Beauty
  •  Lifestyle
  •  Fashion
  • Travel
  • Food

If these are the categories, you wish to use, then leave them as is.

Should you wish to change them, do the following:

Create your categories in the WP post admin area.

In your download folder, you will find the following php files:

Rename the php file from eg: category-beauty.php to category-YOURCATEGORYGOESHERE.php.

The name of the category slug must be exactly as you have named it when creating your categories in the WP category admin area. Best thing to do get the exact name is to copy and paste the slug name in the quick edit settings of the category admin.

Upload via FTP to your child theme folder (see the following path)

> WP Content >> Themes >> Tweed and Ash Child theme folder

You can edit the layout of the Category layout via the Divi Library to either full width or left hand sidebar and as per the Divi Documentation.

If you wish to add additional categories, please send me an email and I will create the php file for you.

To add the Facebook, Twitter and Google plus, you can add your links but going to the Divi Options panel on your WordPress side bar :

Divi >> Theme Options

We have customised the header and you will need to add your links by going to:

Appearance >> Editor >>  Social Icons

Scroll down the editor until you see the code as in in image. Place your links for Pinterest and Instagram as shown and where the ‘#’ is.
